Sometimes when I'm feeling a little down, I take a peek at this wonderful lady's board on pinterest and I am instantly giggling. I hope you all had a lovely weekend. We got some tasks on our to-do list completed and still had time to play fetch with the kitty and drink beer.
I really wish Monday didn't have to come..

Weekly Gratitude

 -- I am so thankful to the three talented, young ladies who came to my dance intensive. I hope you all enjoyed yourselves & maybe even learned something after the twenty five hours you spent with me.

 

-- To the man in the house. He always knows what to say. Always knows how to have a good time. And constantly reminds me that as long as we have each other, we'll survive anything.

-- Most importantly.. I'd be eternally grateful, if Irene leaves us the BLEEP! alone. Anything more than a watering for my tomato plants, will be a serious inconvenience for the entire East Coast. But so far, outlook not so good. She's headed straight for us!

Happy Tuesday - three days until boyfriend and I take a super-mini vacation..

Today was beautiful. When the days are spent planting flowers, reading and sipping lemonade under the sun, I'm a happy girl. Today I even got a little bit of a tan.. unless it's the kind that shows up, and you get all excited and then disappears the next day. How annoying. Nonetheless, spring/summer is by far, my most favoritest season of all. Long, warm days & cool nights by the fire.
I'll take it!

Yes. I just made up a new season. Spring/summer.
And It's pretty dope.

At least my flowers will grow. Or potentially drown.

Today is Tuesday.

Which is not a whole lot better than Monday.

So why not make a list:

1. All of your posts with photos of Easter Sunday are filling up my dashboard. I absolutely love it. And I'm kicking myself. I made such an effort to remember to bring my camera in the first place, and the darn thing ended up sitting in my bag until I got in the car to go home and realized I had even brought it. Reason for an Easter reenactment? I think so!

2. April = Spring = Sun.. wait Sun? Are you sure? Here in New England.. it's been a whole lot of fog and mist and rain, and not so much of that yellow, hot, beaming stuff. What gives?

3. I'm really looking forward to the end of this week! It is going to be SO FANTASTIC. My Birthday. Family Fun. Concert with boyfriend. Sleep. Dance. woot woot. You better bet your socks that I'll have photos of all that!!!

4. My eyeballs feel like they're going to fall out of my head. I cannot function on only six hours of sleep (Ha Ha.. only..) I know, I know. The vast majority of people are lucky if they get that many.. and they probably go about their day perfectly normal. Seriously, I commend you. Cause this girl here.. Needs. Her. Sleep!

5. Our house warming party is just under two weeks away. Although D and I have been trying to convince ourselves that it doesn't all need to get done, my somewhat obsessive compulsive brain is struggling to find time to finish all our projects. Nonetheless.. I know our party is going to be the bomb diggity.. Are you coming?
6. Finding new blogs to read, and gathering new friends/followers is making me very happy lately! It's like a carton of ice cream at the end of a really terrible day =]

Weekly Gratitude

Usually I post my weekly "thankgodIhavethisinmylife" lists on Saturdays. But bright and early tomorrow morning (like 5:30am bright and early!), I will be venturing off to Plymouth New Hampshire with my mom and sister. Plymouth University has invited Eclipse Modern Dance Company, the company that I am a part of, to take master classes during the day and perform in their Gala Show Saturday night. It's super exciting.. except for one tiny thing: HELLOOOO New England! Surprise Surprise! Snow/sleet/ice/winter MESS is going to fall from the sky. Go figure. Luckily we will be in my mom's car which is better than the other possible vehicles we could be traveling in. (Please cross your fingers/toes/arms for us to make it there and back safely). 

So in any case, here is my list of gratitude:

the smell of lavender

massages

boyfriend's sense of humor and the fact that we can be goofy together

card games

homemade french toast made on snow days

huge cups of tea

clean laundry

trucks that can pull other trucks out of snow banks

girl scout cookies

my make-shift craft table/desk under the window

new slippers

hello sunday.. it's nice to see you

It's noon and boyfriend is still sleeping. Usually I stare at him from the side of the bed, poking his cute little face, probably completely annoying the heck out of him, hoping that my glare will motivate him to leave the warm cocoon. But who am I kidding? If I could, I would stay there as long as possible too. So, for now I will go about my day waiting for him to slowly make his way among the living, so that we may enter the wonderful Sunday mode that we enjoy so much.. which includes, but isn't limited to:
reading, watching movies, making and eating food, napping, sipping coffee all day, playing with the kitty, wearing sweats, minor organizing, chores (believe it or not, we actually like doing these kinds of things together), more eating, more napping, goofing around, mixed with the slightest bit of productiveness (work related that is).

What makes your Sunday so great? Or not so great? I remember as a high schooler I dreaded Sundays. Especially around 4pm. By then you had to start preparing for the school week ahead. Doing whatever homework you put off, which totally takes up a huge junk of the wonderful Sunday afternoon. I remember an unsettled feeling that would linger for most of the day, because I knew what was coming.. what a bummer. And talk about completely ruining what now is one of my most favoritest days ever!

 

These would be the most perfect treat for a Sunday afternoon = ]

Last night I danced on a stage I've never been on before. In front of people that I don't know [with the exception of two]. With people that feel the same way about dance that I do.

And it was one of the most wonderful feelings I've experienced.
