A website called Stand Together was started by the Extreme Makeover Home Edition team after working with a family from Springfield, MA. A boy committed suicide after being bullied at school. He was only eleven years old and is only one among many, who have taken their lives because they were bullied at school. Since his death, his mother has been a very important voice against bullying, meeting with the governor of MA and even the President, hoping to educate children about the harmful and life changing effects that bullying causes.
